Explanation of Chart: People instructed in Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation Programme showed significant improvements in clarity of visual perception after two weeks, in contrast to controls randomly assigned to daily periods of a control treatment or to controls given no treatment.

Explanation of Chart: High levels of EEG coherence measured during Transcendental Meditation are significantly correlated with higher creativity, greater efficiency in learning new concepts, more principled moral reasoning, higher verbal intelligence (IQ), less neuroticism, higher academic achievement, clearer experiences of Transcendental Consciousness, and greater neurological efficiency (faster spinal reflex recovery).
